Dean, Dr. John English, Dr. Ed Pohl and Dr. Chase Rainwater take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Photo of faculty members having ice buckets dumped on headsDr. John English, Dean of the College of Engineering along with Dr. Ed Pohl, Interim Department Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Dr. Chase Rainwater, Assistant Professor, Industrial Engineering took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

They were challenged by Dr. Kim Needy, Dean of the Graduate School and International Education.

On hand to do the honors were Dean's Assistant, Kathy Jones (for Dr. English); Assistant to the Department Head of Industrial Engineering, Karen Standley (for Dr. Pohl); and Dr. Candace Rainwater, First-Year Engineering Instructor (and wife of Dr. Rainwater).

Faculty, Students and Staff were there to cheer them on as they took the challenge and also challenged their colleagues!

Dr. English: All the Associate Deans of the College of Engineering; all Department Heads of the College of the College of Engineering; Dr. Tom Landers, Dean, College of Engineering at the University of Oklahoma; and Dr. Tom Smith, Dean, College of Education and Health Professionals at the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Rainwater: U of A Tennis Coach, Robert Cox; U of A Head Golf Coach, Brad McMakin, and ‘Voice of the Razorbacks’ Rick Shaeffer.

Dr. Pohl: Dr. Scott Mason, Clemson University; Dr. Kash Barker, University of Oklahoma; and Dr. Dave Coit, Rutgers University.
