Industrial Engineering Employee Selected as Employee of the Quarter

Emily NicholsThe Staff Senate has announced the University of Arkansas Employee of the 1st Quarter Awards for 2014-15.

Included in the winners was, Emily Daugherity, Project Manager in the Operations Management Graduate Program in Industrial Engineering.

Emily started her employment with the Department of Industrial Engineering while she was still in high school, working hourly through the summer. She continued to work hourly through the summers while working on her undergraduate degree at University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, and then throughout the year while she pursued her master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Arkansas.

She joined the Operations Management Team in December of 2012, and has been a true asset to both Operations Management and the Industrial Engineering Department. "This reward recognizes her outstanding work of the MSOM program and INEG," said Dr. Greg Parnell, Director of Operations Management Graduate Program.

The campus community is invited to join Staff Senate at its regular monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, Arkansas Union 507-508, as all winning staff members are honored.

Each winner will receive a certificate and a monetary award at the ceremony. Winners of the Employee of the Quarter will also be submitted as candidates for the Employee of the Year.
