Industrial Engineering at the University of Arkansas Celebrates 65th Anniversary

Recently, the Industrial Engineering Department invited alumni to return to the department for a “Pig-Out Party” celebrating the 65th anniversary of the department. The Imhoff Study Center, named for founding department head, John L. Imhoff, was fittingly the back drop for the event. Imhoff is fondly remembered by alumni, faculty and staff alike as a passionate industrial engineer and teacher. >>

NSF Award Presented to Professor Haitao Liao

Haitao Liao, professor of industrial engineering, was recently the recipient of a National Science Foundation Award. The award will fund developing new methodologies for automated knowledge discovery from complex reliability and healthcare data with covariates. >>

Bennett Milburn Named John L. Imhoff Chair in Industrial Engineering

Assistant professor Ashlea Bennett Milburn has been named the 2017-2018 recipient of the John L. Imhoff Chair in Industrial Engineering. This title was established in 1983 to honor the memory of John L. Imhoff, founding head of the University of Arkansas department of industrial engineering. >>
