Industrial Engineering Students Recognized at College Reception

Five Industrial Engineering students were recognized at the annual College of Engineering Student Awards and Honors Reception on May 2.

“I'm very happy to be here honoring the top students in the College of Engineering,” said John English, dean of the College of Engineering. “These students have all worked very hard, and they all have exciting futures ahead of them.”

Among those honored were:

David Cox Student PhotoDavid Cox – Outstanding Senior
David was selected as the Industrial Engineering ArcBest Corporation Outstanding Freshman in 2014, and was inducted into the industrial engineering honor society, Alpha Pi Mu where he served as social chair. He has completed three summer internships with three different companies, resulting in a full-time job offer from each company. In addition he has been working on an honor’s thesis with professor, Manuel Rossetti, which he plans to complete this spring.

Jacob Brosh – First Ranked Senior Scholar, for having achieved a 4.0 grade point average for coursework completed on this campus.

Harrison Gilker, David Wellendorf and Fan Wang received Porter Stone Coop Awards, which are given to engineering students who have excelled in cooperative education.
